A boy's unwavering faith

I want to share a sweet story I read on a social site that I am on. I asked this mom for her permission to share it with you all. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Its amazing the faith our children can have!



Hey mom? How can God have created the Earth in 7 days? Dinosaurs died 65mil yrs ago!

This question came to me when we were watching some show on the discovery Channel.They were talking about sea creatures evolving from dinosaurs. Sounded great at the time but then the next day this question came. I have to admit, my faith wavered for a moment with this question. How is it possible that God created all in 6 days, when dinosaurs became extinct 65million years ago? I went from being firm on my faith in Christ, to sobbing that everything I learned was a lie. I went to bed and woke up at 3am. I never wake up unless someone is trying to get my attention. I went online and Googled creation and dinosaurs. Opened the first page. I get it now. And I believe it. I want to believe it. I prayed that I would believe it, and that my son would. When we woke up later that day, my son and I read it together. Do you know what I get for a comment from him? See mom! I heard you crying and knew you thought God was lying! I prayed you would find out he wasn't! Its the Discovery Channel lying. But can we still watch it? I like all the animals! Yeah way to make me cry all over again! LOL

I’m still in shock about how fast time flies! It seems like just yesterday I was posting and now here it is another preparation day! I promise to get back to writing more frequently! But for today I just want to share a picture of my first Apple Pie. I baked it for my love yesterday and it’s already almost gone! He has such a sweet tooth!

Life as I now know it...

WOW! It's been awhile. Time just seemed to slip away from me. Preparing for this baby, raising my daughter, taking care of my home, taking care of my husband, it just all never seems to end! But it is joyous "work" and it is the life that I believe the Lord would have me lead. We've got a schedule that works for us currently and things are moving a long pretty smoothly. This life is so different from what I had imagined as a child, even as a teen. I could of never known what the Lord had in store for me, but I'm letting Him lead and it has been beautiful so far.

We recently started a free month trial of Netflix. That has been SUCH a blessing. I was previously struggling with things to watch with and around my daughter that fit our standards. Now we have variety of movies and shows we can watch instantly as well as things we can order through the mail. I highly recommend getting it for anyone who struggles with finding wholesome things to watch.

Well, I was hoping to get in a longer post but I really need to tend to somethings before the sun goes down. I pray that you all have a blessed Shabbat and that the peace of the Lord be with you!

Computer issues RESOLVED!!

Well PRAISE THE LORD! My computer issues are resolved thanks to my wonderful husband! I'm very thankful to have access to the internet again, as well as be able to keep up on my Blog posting. Preparation day is here again!

Sorry its been awhile I'm having some computer issues. I'm actually posting this from my phone! But I will be back soon (prayerfully) and I will post pictures of my FIRST Challah! I baked it today for Shabbat after finding a great egg free recipe! (we don't eat eggs which is why I never baked a challah before) I'm very excited about this new discovery! Well I have to run for now, I pray you all have a blessed Shabbat.
